Our Core Values
We value HOLINESS:
We believe that God creates human life and that all life, beginning at conception,
is sacred and holy to Him. We believe that abortion is taking away the lives
of innocent victims. Therefore, we will seek to give accurate information
to as many who consider abortion. (Psalm 139; Genesis 1:27-31; Deuteronomy
19: 10)
We believe that marriage is a holy covenant between man, woman and God,
and that sex should be shared only within the holy covenant of marriage.
Therefore, we will honor the God-ordained institution of marriage and seek
to strengthen and improve our own marriages and those of our clients. (Hebrews
13:4)
We believe that holiness is pursued by having an intimate, personal, and
vital relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will practice the disciplines
that are vital to the growing Christian. (I Corinthians 9:24; Colossians
2:6-7)
We believe that God's holiness calls for personal and institutional integrity.
Our accountability before Him and to one another in the matter of integrity
involves mind, body and spirit. Therefore, we will place safeguards in our
lives that will protect us from moral impurities; we will be different and
live differently from the world. (I Thessalonians 5:23, I Peter 1:15; I Peter
1:1,17; I Peter 2:11)
We believe that holiness means that we are to be people of integrity. Integrity
simply means that there is a unity between what we say and what we do. True
integrity is a lifestyle that affects every relationship in which we are
involved. Therefore, we pledge to be fiscally responsible in using funds
for their intended purposes, to be good stewards of our time and resources
(including people), and to be people of our word. (Matthew 5:16; Ephesians
5:15-16)
We value GODLY WISDOM:
We believe that we should live in the knowledge of truth as instructed in
God's Word. Our belief in Christ involves more than just a verbal or intellectual
assent to the truth of the Christian faith. Therefore, we will seek to become
the leader in relationship and life training and counseling and to develop
a reputation in the community that attracts people to that truth. (II Timothy
3:15)
We believe that God reveals Himself and His Son Jesus Christ to us through
the Bible, and we place our confidence in the truth, power, and authority
of that revelation. Therefore, we will read and study God's Word on a regular
basis and apply that truth to our lives. (II Timothy 3:15-17; Proverbs 4:13)
We value SERVANTHOOD:
We believe that Jesus came into the world to serve and not to be served,
even to the point of giving His life as a ransom for all. We recognize the
high value God has placed on each individual, and the way we serve is a reflection
of our respect for each individual. Our love can only be fully expressed
through service to others. Therefore, we will not seek to be served, but
to serve others. (Matthew 20:28; Matthew 25:40; I Timothy 2:6; Mark 10:45)
We believe that God's love for lost humanity compelled Him to send His Son
into the world that the world through Him might be saved. Even as He sent
His Son, He is now sending us, His beloved children, into the world to testify
of His power and love that the world through our witness might be saved.
Salvation is always the work of God by grace through faith, but He has entrusted
to us the task of sharing the good news of His offer of salvation. We believe
that it is our duty, our privilege, and our greatest joy to share the hope
that comes when our lives are rescued by Jesus. Therefore, we will provide
a safe place for everyone to seek and find God and become bolder and better
equipped in sharing the Gospel. (John 3:16-18; II Corinthians 5:14-20; Mark
16:15-16; Ephesians 2:8,9)
We believe God requires from us a spirit of excellence that will manifest
itself in quality and creativity as a way to honor Him and inspire people.
We expect God to continue demonstrating His remarkable creativity by showing
us exciting and effective strategies to present His love to our community.
Therefore, we will gladly take the initiative when we see a need; we will
go beyond what is expected to get the job done; we will endeavor to maintain
a teachable spirit and exhibit a humility that is open to new ideas with
the leading of the Holy Spirit. (I Corinthians 10:31; I Corinthians 15:58;
Proverbs 15:22)
We believe that God gives us grace gifts that are to be used in service
to Him and to others. Therefore, we will seek to use those gifts appropriately,
become better equipped through education and training and with these gifts
seek to impact the lives of our clients and each other. We will offer effective,
up-to-date information, tools and skills to empower our clients to create
the marriage/relationship and the life they want for themselves and those
they love. (I Peter 4:10; I Corinthians 12:4,5)
We value UNITY:
We believe that the effectiveness of the Care Net Pregnancy Center is dependent
on the healthy participation of each staff person and volunteer. Each one
has a necessary, though differing, role in the story of redemption that God
is producing, but with a direct connection to the Creator and Choreographer
of this story. We believe that He invites us to partner with Him in putting
His life on display in the world. Therefore, when we follow His lead, the
result is unity; and the beauty of His love through Christ becomes visible
through us. (Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 12:3-8; I Corinthians 12:4-11; John
13:34-35; 17:20-23).
We believe in unity in the essentials of the faith, and diversity in the
body of Christ. Therefore, we will foster relationships with churches and
other ministries to be a mighty force to carry on the work of the ministry.
(Romans 15:7; I Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:3-6)
We value RESTORATION and HEALING :
We believe that repentance and confession is the first step to restoration
and healing, and that it is sin that takes us off of God's pathway to peace
and joy. Therefore, we must actively seek the Holy Spirit to change whatever
is amiss in our temperament, character, and soul so that we may come to please
God with the actions and substance of our lives. We will personally and corporately
evaluate our motives and actions adjusting our lives and ministry to God's
ideals. (I Peter 1:15-16; I John 1:9; Psalm 103:3-4)
We believe that Jesus is the Great Physician able to heal those who are
hurting in mind, body and spirit. Therefore, we will provide practical help
and hope to those who are hurting. (Isaiah. 61:1-4; I Peter 5:10-11; Isaiah
40:28-31)
We believe that we should forgive those who have offended or wronged us. Therefore,
we will forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another and we
will teach the spirit of forgiveness for restoring broken relationships. As
ambassadors, we are to carry the message of reconciliation to a broken and
divided world. (Colossians 3:13: II Corinthians 5:20)

should be urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands,
from their pastor and physician.)

of clients and avoids any conflicts of
interest. Adoption agencies may only be established under
the auspices of centers if they meet strict standards

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible
authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three
persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin
birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious
and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension
to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal
return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration
by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential and that this
salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as
Savior and Lord and not as a result of good
works.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life
and to perform good works.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost;
they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and
they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord
Jesus Christ.

Our Services
Pregnancy Center Services
Care Net provides services to over 500 women annually. Many face unwanted
pregnancies, plus the pressures of men, families and friends. We don't just
counsel our clients to choose life, we support their decision to do so. For
the majority of clients, our volunteer staff is reaching out to care for their
past, present and future. The services we provide include the following:
Free Pregnancy Testing : Eighty percent of our
clients come to us for this service. The lab quality tests are 99% accurate
and can provide results as early as ten days after conception. All positive
results are referred to a physician for diagnosis and further care.
Limited
STI / STD Screening:
Care Net's medical
team provides free Chlamydia and Gonorrhea screening
and treatment.
HIV screening
is provided free of charge for all patients with
referrals for treatment for those who test positive
for HIV.
Counseling : Volunteers
are trained to care for the needs of women, family members, and fathers-to-be.
They carefully listen to each individual's life background providing
a connection that opens the door to offer encouragement and insight.
In this caring, one-on-one environment the volunteer presents the Gospel,
abortion alternatives, spiritual insight, lifestyle changes, and practical
life skills.
Evangelism : The Pregnancy Center is the only
Christ-centered organization in Southeast Georgia dedicated to the mission
of caring for the client with these specific needs. Ultimately, we know that
offering assistance to a client without sharing their need for Jesus Christ
is like putting a Band-Aid on a massive puncture wound. We know that life in
Christ is a life with hope. Our volunteers are dedicated Christians who desire
to share the Gospel to women and their families. When clients receive Christ,
volunteers are free to bring them to church or refer them to a church that
is best suited to assist them.
Discipleship : Clients who receive Christ are
in need of discipleship. Our volunteers are often given the privilege of providing
opportunities for growth primarily through the Navpress Bringing Truth to Life
Program - Your Life in Christ: Design for Discipleship.
Forgiven and Set Free : We live in a society
where by age forty-five, 43% of all women will have had an abortion. Women
who have experienced an abortion often suffer deeply and need help with many
issues. Many have lived in a prison of secrecy and shame. The abortion in their
past may consume their daily activities. Our Forgiven and Set Free Bible
Study / Support Group offers these women an opportunity to experience
healing for their past and look forward to a bright future. Transforming the
abortion experience from being the book of their life to a small chapter in
their life.
Chastity Challenge : Over half our clients who
obtaining a pregnancy test are not currently pregnant, but their lifestyle
puts them at risk for an unwanted pregnancy in the near future. A key role
of our volunteer staff is to equip our clients with the information and practical
support to change their current sexual lifestyles. When encouraged by our volunteers,
most of these women take this wonderful opportunity for change and commit to
a Chastity Challenge. Our volunteers then follow up to support our clients
in their new decision for a brighter future.
Dedication Dollar Program : A majority of our
clients are unable to purchase maternity and baby clothing, supplies and baby
furnishings. In order to empower our clients for a better future, the Dedication
Dollar program was implemented. Clients participate in child rearing classes,
discipleship classes and other healthy learning activities. As a result of
their dedicated participation, they receive Dedication Dollars which are then
redeemed for their material needs. This better prepares the momma, which helps
the baby, which ultimately reduces welfare dependency and helps our community.
Referrals For Service : With the many needs
that our clients face, no single organization can meet them all. The Center
maintains a referral network of other agencies that can further assist our
clients. However, a referral to another agency does not eliminate our continued
follow-up.
BRAVEheart Services
BRAVEheart: The Purity Revolution
Character-Based Prevention Programming
The BRAVEheart Teen Initiative is a multifaceted operation. The general purpose
of the program format is to promote character-based sexual abstinence until
marriage as a wise and achievable lifestyle in Southeast Georgia. The best
way to prevent abortion is to prevent pregnancy.
BRAVEheart Teens Drama Team : The Drama Team
uses practical youth and teen-oriented dramas to educate the community on premarital
sexual consequences, relational issues, refusal skills, and familial relationships.
Parent Presentations : As the Drama Team does
its work with teens, parental programs are orchestrated in conjunction with
the teen presentations. Parents are equipped to encourage abstinence effectively
with their children. The teen leadership serves as an inspiration for the parent's
desires for their own children.
BRAVEheart Blitz : The BRAVEheart Blitz consists
of radio, school programs, school yearbooks, and newspaper advertising that
encourages abstinence until marriage.
BRAVEheart Website : In addition to traditional
advertising www.braveheart.org is a website developed by youth. The website
includes information on the consequences of premarital sex and skills to postpone
sexual involvement. Local information and activities for teens are linked and
posted on the website to promote positive activities. Through e-mail, important
questions can be answered offering support to teens in a non-confrontational
medium.
BRAVEheart Teen Mentors : Provides concrete
support to youth in the community. Teen Mentors work one-on-one or in groups
with those interested in an abstinent lifestyle. Confidential contact sheets
record the progress made with each mentor relationship
BRAVEheart Clubs : Club settings in the Middle
and High Schools further support their peers. Teen-led clubs form to solidify
skills and the commitment to remain abstinent until marriage. The mentoring
setting can serve as a network to communicate opportunities for personal growth.
BRAVEheart Little Sisters Program : Developed
in 2001, the Little Sisters Club reaches younger girls (9-11) to begin character
education, develop stronger family relationships, and empower younger women
with tools to remain abstinent. Each month for nine months the BRAVEheart staff
provides after school meetings.
BRAVEheart Father-Daughter Purity Ball : One
known risk factor in premarital sexual activity is the deteriorated family
role; specifically the deterioration of the father-daughter relationship. In
order to develop stronger relational ties between fathers and daughters, the
BRAVEheart Teen Initiative hosts the Father Daughter Purity Ball. The event
provides an opportunity for fathers to pledge themselves to love and protect
their daughters and for daughters to pledge commitments to purity, as well
as a regal gala to celebrate the protection of purity.
Annual Purity Day : The Teen Participants plan
an annual community event the first Saturday of May to further support and
provide wholesome opportunities for the community at large. The community can
witness that youth who abstain have a wholesome and fun life.
BRAVEheart Prom Project : In conjunction with area florists
and tuxedo rentals, a protect purity message is placed on every floral box and
tuxedo on Prom weekend. The message serves as a timely message to keep it pure
with your date on prom night.
